Volunteer Opportunities

The Providence PTA is always looking for volunteers to help throughout the school year.  Our organization is run completely by volunteers.  Please contact Cara Radoll if you are willing to chair a committee position. Get a friend and be co-chairs!!

Our volunteer coordinators this year are Sue Kelley and Susan Randolph.

Please contact them if you are available to help.  You can volunteer three times a year or three times a week.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Do you have a passion for taking photos? Then, why not put your talent to work for the PES PTA?  We are looking for amateur photographers to take candid pictures at PES events for inclusion in the 2009-2010 yearbook.  Use your own camera or we can lend you one from the school.

All volunteer photographers will be entered in a raffle to win a free spring portrait package voucher from Lifetouch (there will be three winners). The raffle will take place before spring portraits are taken.

If you are interested in volunteering, please e-mail volunteer@ptaprovidence.org or call Susan at 703-244-6866.

Library Help - ANY TIME

The library is looking for volunteers on a very flexible basis.  Parents are welcome any time in the library for as much time as they have to shelve, check in, etc.  You do not need to commit to a weekly time, but the library would be happy to have regulars who come the same time every week.  If you’re interested, stop by any morning between 8 and 12 to get a feel for the library or to discuss your availability and library needs.  Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons when you pick up your children is also a great time to stop in.  You can contact Lynn Murphy, our librarian at lvmurphy@fcps.edu.
